I accept that there are likely benefits in the space program decades from now, but that's not why they're doing it. it's simply about bragging rights. The only nations to have an advanced and active space program are the only superpowers in recent memory: USA and USSR. <BR/>China has dreams of becoming the next superpower. Therefore, a great way of signalling that is to behave like a superpower, and go into space.<BR/>It's a game of: (sing along) "anything you can do I can do better, I can do anything better than you!"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
