A State of Emergency has been declared in Metropolitan Sydney.
Metropolitan State Rail has been shut down as a temporary measure, while police and emergency services attend the scene of two explosions that ocurred earlier today. HAZMAT teams have also attended the incidents, but there has been no report yet of any contamination.
As a temporary measure, additional bus services have been scheduled to enable commuters to get home.
Prime Minister Brain is reported to be in talks with the premier of NSW. It has been officially confirmed that the Commonwealth is assuming the explosions are due to terrorist actions, until proven otherwise.
Late News : All air movements from Sydney's Kingsford-Smith airport have been suspended until further notice. Troops from Holsworthy barracks, south of Sydney, have been called to duty to relieve the police already on duty around key infrastructure, especially the Harbour Bridge, Harbour Tunnel, Power, Sewerage and Water supplies.
Breaking: All Police and military leave has been cancelled, as other states are contemplating similar action to that taken by the government of NSW.
