Your creator gave you your gender so live with it. If you think you would be better off as the opposite sex then don't expect to write off your medical expenses. This is OPTIONAL surgury. You are an ugly old woman anyway. I wouldn't complain if you wrote off your assisted suicide.
This is the most difficult thing for me to get my head around in this whole business. The fact that there are normal, sane people in the world, quite a number of them, who want to see me dead, not for what I've done, but for what I am. And they want me to kill myself so that their tender consciences aren't troubled by the Auschwitz thing.
Hmmm... there's no emoticon for showing me blowing them a Raspberry. Pity.
I have to say that, though in objective terms I couldn't object to being called a Freak, for biologically I am.... I feel sorry for them.

The commenter's creator apparently made him stupid and ignorant, and he's decided to live with it...
There have always been people who were so concerned with upholding "What We're Used To" they forgot the purpose of the Law, as well as all mercy and charity.
Our Lord referred to such people as "a brood of vipers", "whitewashed tombs, full of decay", and as the sons of the Adversary.
Illegitimi non carborundum
I'm trying to comprehend some of the reactions. Those same people would hardly react the same way to someone born with a heart defect, yet they seem blind to the reality that GID is as much a birth defect as a hole in someones heart.
And even if they're unwilling to believe, their cruelty gives lie to what they profess to believe.
Zoe,
"Normal, sane people" do not say things like this. Bigotry is bigotry, plain and simple.
Well, welcome to dhimmitude, eh?
Oh, and there is an emoticon you might want: :P
To be a good Dhimmi, you have to accept your status as, if not just, then unchangeable.
I'm a spectacularly terrible Dhimmi, as you can see from my posts.
I figure that if I bring this kind of thing to the attention of those who matter - and by that I mean not the usual Liberal touchy-feely groups, but the conservative engineers and so on, that something will be done.
It will take a long time, but the best way of convincing people is to give them the facts, and let them decide what to do about the situation, not force any particular partisan viewpoint on them.
I genuinely feel sorry for those living such blighted lives as the AOL commenters'. I have problems, sure, and in spades: but theirs are worse. I can't help them.
I may be able to help myself though, and those like me. Right now I'm more interested in the rights of the conventionally Intersexed rather than the neurologically Intersexed - the Transsexuals. Because while being TS is bad enough, at least there is some publicity, some discussion, and sometimes some compassion shown. Those born with bodies neither entirely male nor entirely female are not just plagued with many of the same problems, most people don't even know they exist. Some deny that they can exist.
I can't solve the world's ills. But I can move the mountain a spoonful at a time. Posts like yours help, Chap. Thanks. Thanks also to the other commenters too. I think Dr Martin Luther King would have approved of you.
I would
1) not worry. Not everyone's opinion matters to me.
and
2) tell them to go jump.
Letter to the Galatians, ch6 v9:
"Be not weary in doing good, for we know that in due season we shall reap the harvest, as long as we don't give up."
