i'm close to hysterically excited right now.

i can't wait to use this. It'll take me a bit to settle on what to do. And get some money to sign up for the premium stuff for more options.

"A significant proportion of FtoMs - at least 10% - are protogynous hermaphrodites. That is, they change naturally from looking somewhat, mostly or completely female at birth to looking somewhat, mostly or completely male later in life."

G - here's an explanation. It may not be as simple as a sound byte, but should be comprehensible.

There's a number of congenital hormone disorders that cause all babies born with them to look female.

They may look partly, mostly, or completely female to the untrained eye. But some of them have the 46xy chromosomes normally only found in men.

The ones that look mostly or completely female are often brought up as girls.

Come puberty though, all sorts of hormones are released. While people with these conditions may not be affected by most male sex hormones, they are by the ones at puberty, and get some or all of the changes happening at puberty that usually happen long before birth.

So it looks like they get a natural sex change from female to male.

The female-looking form is sterile: the male-looking form may be infertile or sterile.

The most common of the causes for this kind of thing are 17β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 3 deficiency (17BHDD) and 5α-reductase type 2 deficiency (5ARD).

The gory details about hormone-profile etc are given in my post 17BHDD, 5ARD, and CAIS Summarised.

As for the rare male-to-female apparent natural sex changes, we know little about them. They happen, there appears to be multiple causes, and vary in completeness. But there are so few we have no decent sized sample to say what happens.
