We Have The Technology

  1. With all the hype over the new Apple iPad, it's nice to see someone making fun of it - really nice artwork.

  2. I’m waiting for the bigger version with the faster processor and more RAM – it’s called the Max iPad.

  3. Careful girls - if you start using an Apple product down there it'll work fine, in fact it'll be the best one you've ever used and you'll rave on to everyone how wonderful it is. Until suddenly it turns into a brick.

Too many years, too many Cupertino bricks...

  4. Trouble is once you've used the pack, you have to mail yourself to California to get a new one installed.

  5. Now if only you could get 18 of them for ten bucks...

  6. Apple once again putting out a product that doesn't quite measure up.
    Jenny is right.
I didn't have to get suckered into buying one to find out.

  7. Not even out yet, and already you're getting the negative reviews. Anticipatory disappointment. Anonymous, it's proof of concept. Proof that it can be done. It will be done better later, but for now it is enough that such a thing is possible. Maybe the iTablet or even the iDesk will be more what you're looking for, but the iPad is what we have now, and I'd rather explore what it can do than bitch about what it can't yet do.

BTW, if you'd like to donate to the "iPad for Mythusmage" fund, visit Mythusmage Opines where I have my donation button. Just $499.00 plus 8% sales tax to go. (No, donations are not mandatory. :) )

  8. Mythus: People either love or hate Apple products. Iw ould llike to pint out that people made fun of Nintendo's Wii when it first came out, people were all over the name. A lot of people dismissed the iPod when it first came out. And, possibly most famously, some people gave bad reviews when Apple equipped Macs with a new peripheral back in 1985, claiming they didn't need it. That peripheral? The mouse.

I think it's incredibly sophmoric how much people are slamming the name. Come on people, can we act like grown-ups? And that DOS comment isn't funny after you use it a couple times. I seen you use that dozens of times now and can you please JUST STOP IT! It's not funny any more.

I think the iPad has a lot of potential.

Anonymous commenters - please add a signature (doesn't have to be your real name) on each post of yours. Anne O'Namus, Norm D. Ploom, Angry from Kent, Demosthenes, or even your real initials, it doesn't matter.

Commenters are expected to be polite to each other, but the same standard doesn't apply to comments regarding me.

Australian commenters are very very strongly advised to publish anonymously. Sydney alone has more defamation actions than the entire USA and UK. Nearly double that of the UK in fact.

As Google does not reliably inform me that a comment has been posted, and I have no control over first publication, I assert that all comments are innocently disseminated under the NSW DEFAMATION ACT 2005 - SECT 32 and similar acts.
