- Actually, I am a Rocket Scientist. Also hormonally odd (my blood has 46xy chromosomes anyway) and for most of my life, I looked male, and lived as one, trying to be the best Man a Gal could be. Anyway, in May 2005 that started changing naturally for reasons still unclear, and I'm now Zoe, not Alan : happier and more relaxed not to have to pretend any more. This blog, written by a rocket scientist, is a fascinating collection of information, both personal and scientific, regarding intersex, transsexualism and related psychosocial and psychosexual issues.

The reason I so appreciate bright, perceptive people - as opposed to ideologues whose intelligence does little to illuminate - is that they manage to both instruct and learn with a certain grace. Among such rarities in the transblogosphere is Zoe, whose direct speech and clear humanity always make her worth reading, even if one doesn’t always agree with her every conclusion.

With all the hype over the new Apple iPad, it's nice to see someone making fun of it - really nice artwork.
I’m waiting for the bigger version with the faster processor and more RAM – it’s called the Max iPad.

Careful girls - if you start using an Apple product down there it'll work fine, in fact it'll be the best one you've ever used and you'll rave on to everyone how wonderful it is. Until suddenly it turns into a brick.
Too many years, too many Cupertino bricks...
Trouble is once you've used the pack, you have to mail yourself to California to get a new one installed.
Now if only you could get 18 of them for ten bucks...
Apple once again putting out a product that doesn't quite measure up.

I didn't have to get suckered into buying one to find out.
Does it run under DOS?
Not even out yet, and already you're getting the negative reviews. Anticipatory disappointment. Anonymous, it's proof of concept. Proof that it can be done. It will be done better later, but for now it is enough that such a thing is possible. Maybe the iTablet or even the iDesk will be more what you're looking for, but the iPad is what we have now, and I'd rather explore what it can do than bitch about what it can't yet do.

Mythus: People either love or hate Apple products. Iw ould llike to pint out that people made fun of Nintendo's Wii when it first came out, people were all over the name. A lot of people dismissed the iPod when it first came out. And, possibly most famously, some people gave bad reviews when Apple equipped Macs with a new peripheral back in 1985, claiming they didn't need it. That peripheral? The mouse.
I think it's incredibly sophmoric how much people are slamming the name. Come on people, can we act like grown-ups? And that DOS comment isn't funny after you use it a couple times. I seen you use that dozens of times now and can you please JUST STOP IT! It's not funny any more.
I think the iPad has a lot of potential.
