Prone to crashing. It requires me to muck with my browser settings. And even after changing the settings, I click to see one of the images, it flashes for maybe a quarter second hurting my eyes, and then the whole thing shows an error message.
Still, it's technically better than all those tests [most online tests] which crash at the end, or the COGIATI with that awful question where the answer depends on whether you interpret 'a complete rotation, end over end,' as 180 degrees or 360 degrees. Does it go in for the gender stereotyping too?
P.S. Your comment system keeps rejecting my decypherments of the captchas. I even checked and enabled cookies.
Big chunks of that test are lifted straight out of the COGIATI ... complete with a pile of gender role stereotypes.
The analysis output is marginally better than the COGIATI, but overall it suffers from the same fundamental flaws, IMO.
About a year ago, I took a BEM and a COGATI, just to see the results. Earlier today I took a SAGE. The results,
BEM;34% masculine, 87% feminine, 65% androgynous.
COGATI; value 310, classification 4, probable transsexual.
SAGE; raw score 885, feminine appearance, socialization and brain processes. M2F post op or in transition.
Nothing like consistency.

Marja, what I found to work is hitting the [Esc] key _immediately_ after clicking on the image box. This stops the script from loading any further and displays the image for the proper amount of time.
MgS, No wonder some of those questions seemed familiar. Yes, I agree it's not perfect, but it's admittedly less expensive than an MRI scan of the BSTc.
Ciao!

Oh god.
I guess being a decent engineering student makes you have a manly brain according to this.
Can't someone write one of these tests that isn't completely transparent?
Since everyone has a "manly brain" in some areas, a "womanly brain" in others, I don't see the big issue.
As regards Engineering, I do what I can to get more girls into it. By rights, 30% of the class should be women. In fact, it's 8% because of social pressure, "girls don't do that".
Horse pucky. That's like saying "a girl can't be above average height" simply because men tend to be taller than women.
Does anyone think that Elle MacPherson is is "manly" just because more people of her height are male than female? Or that it's "sexist" to say that men tend to be taller than women?
