The links don't work, Zoe... :-(
Try now - if you get a 403 error, just re-type the URL in.
It's http://samizdat.cc/cyoa/ then press "play"
i have missed this damn game so much over the years.
You have made my week!
Uhm.
i take it back. That isn't the Zork i know. The one i played was a computer game on the Commodore 64 (if memory serves).
That link seems to be a bad version of Choose Your Own Adventure...
Oh, you want the *digital* one, not the dead-tree version?
Try here.
Oh dear! So much of my earlier life was lost to that game! When I was dungeon master for it, I was systems programmer for an IBM 168 mainframe. Gawd big iron was impressive back then!
I spent so much time with Colossal Cave, as it was known then, that it was almost named as a co-respondent in my divorce!
Thanks Zoe! It has been too long since I have played that game. I fear another day of lost productivity is upon me!
Zork was fun to play. This got me to thinking and I recalled that I still have my orgional 5 1/4" floppy disk of it. So dug it out and here's a photo of it: http://twitpic.com/1721xd
Still have a couple 5 1/4" floppy drives laying around and old 486 pc laying around. So I could put together system with Win95 on it and run it in a dos box. But will have to check you the online version.
